Centinal Staff
Andrew
Andrew A. Lee is a very prestigious and ambitious young man who is currently a Junior at Centennial High School and is now a staff writer on the Centinal Newspaper, although you could of probably guessed that since Andrew has a profile page on the Centinal website. Some of many of Andrew’s hobbies include writing articles, taking photos, drawing pictures, swimming in a pool, eating food, watching television and movies, being happy, and occasionally taking a sleep. He currently resides in Champaign, Illinois, where he lives with his 2 parents.
Chantal
Chantal Meacham is a Junior at Centennial High School. She participates in basketball and soccer at the school. She enjoys spending time with her friends and helping out at First Christian Church. It is her first year as a staff writer on The Centinal and she is looking forward to the upcoming year.
Connor
Connor Metcalf is a senior at Centennial, and this is his second year writing for the Centinal. Connor enjoys long walks on the beach and late night drives with a beautiful woman. When he is writing, he likes to write about music, sports, and movies. Connor hopes to continue writing entertaining articles and to keep cruising through senior year.
Trent
Trent is a very engergetic senior who enjoys long moments of silence. His favortie color is greenish gray with a hint of lavender. He is currently a swimmer for the Centennial Swim Team and a pole vaulter in Track & Feild. When he is not working out on his hot bod he does lights for the Drama club,Thespians NBD. He is currently single at the moment. His favorite TV shows are: Spongbob, Family Guy, All that, The Amanda Show, Awkward, Tosh.O, Futurama, South Park, Adventure Time, Drake and Josh, Mythbusters, Taboo, 500 lb women, 700 lb man, Obese Teenagers, Made, and Truelife.
Lexi
Lexi Zahrn is a senior this year, and glad to be a first time staff writer for the Centinal. She is a member of Spanish Honors Society, art club, and plays soccer. Recently she had taken up recreational writing and hopes to submit some of her short stories to Centennial’s literary magazine Cliche. She aspires to be a children’s book publisher and bring her love of books to the generations that follow her.
Roni
Roni Adar is a Junior at Centennial High School. She is the news editor and has been writing for the Centinal for two years. She enjoys writing about local as well as global events. Roni is a member of Key Club, National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and a Varsity Cheerleader. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. Roni has plans of studying law in college.
Tara
Tara Mobasseri is a Co-Edior in Chief at the Centinal and this is her third year on the Centinal staff. She is a senior this year and could not be more excited! As well as being involved in Newspaper she is also captain of the Centennial dance team, a member of interact, and senior class secretary. She hopes to go to college in California or Colorado majoring either in business or communications.
Faith
Faith Middleton is a Sophomore at Centennial. She transferred from Springfield Southeast High School at the beginning of the year. Faith enjoys playing soccer, volleyball, and guitar. She is ecstatic to be on staff at The Centinal, and hopes to pursue a career as a forensic anthropologist or worship minister.
Megan
Megan Wolter is a junior at Centennial and this is her second year on The Centinal. Megan loves reading, writing, hanging with friends, and going to the movies whenever she isn’t working there. She is currently participating in Key Club, Student Council, Asian-American Club, Fiction Addiction, National Honor Society, Creative Writing Club, Spanish Club, and is editor of the Opinions section. She wants to major in creative writing or international business in college and hopes to someday make a difference in the world.
Chelsea
Chelsea Cross is a Junior at Centennial High school. She’s a awesome athlete with a stellar personality, when she’s not in the books she’s the life of the party. Chelsea is a writer and photographer for the Centinal. She wants to become a Nurse Practitioner in Public Health. But as for now, she plans on providing her school with the news to keep them on their toes.
Omar
Omar ‘Mars’ Sharif. He recived that nickname because his friends say he’s outta this world. As a very ambitious young man, he one day wishes to find the cure of cancer. His future collge goals are to study Health &Human Nutrition and then later to go on to become an Oncologist. Omar’s hobbies are to read, hang out with his buddies, eat, and overall improve in academic succes.
Allie
Allie Shannon is a Junior at Centennial High School. She participates in Varsity volleyball and club volleyball, and is in small groups at First Christian Church. This is her second year on the Centinal staff and she is a co-editor of the Student Life section
Alex
Alex ‘A-Wall’ Wallner is a senior at Centennial High School. Alex is also participating in golf and is an all-star manager for the Centennial basketball team (2010 state medalist). He is currently the sports editor for the Centinal and hopes to go into something dealing with journalism or sports (videotaping, coaching, etc.).
Drew
Andrew Warner is an extraodinary senior staff writer at the Centinal. He gives you a witty and very bias point of view on a range of topics from movie reviews to his opinions on social issues. Aside from writing for the newspaper, he enjoys hittin’ the golf links and a nice game of ultimate frisbee with his buddies.
Will
Will James is a senior at Centennial High School. This is his first year on the O.C. staff. He hopes to study journalism, mainly sports journalism in college. Besides writing beautiful articals will also enjoys “getting swole”, playing sports, and listening to pretty much all music, pretty much typical guy activities. He hopes to have a great year giving you all of the most important news surrounding Centennial High School.
Abrar
Abrar Al-Heeti is a senior at Centennial High School. She is a staff writer for The Centinal. She is a member of National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, and the Chargers tennis team. As of now, she either plans on studying Journalism or English in college.
Melanie
Melanie is a very classy senior. She enjoys fast walking and listening to opera while petting her cat. Melanie is involved in Cross Country and Track & Field here at Centennial. She is also part of NHS, Interact, and Student Councel. She has been a part of the newspaper staff for two years and this year Melanie is the features editor. Melanie hopes to attend Columbia College Chicago and study Fashion Merchendising.
Hannah
Hannah has been on the Centinal staff for three years, she started off as a staff writer her sophomore year then became the editor of the Extra section her junior year. She is now co-editor in chief of The Centinal with Tara Mobasseri. She is also involved in NHS, Student Council, Mu Alpha Theta, Interact, Younglife, and runs for Centennial’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Hannah hopes to attend school at the University of Florida next fall and study Engineering or Architecture.
Jewel
Jewel Goodly is a junior at Centennial High School. This is her first year being a part of the Centenil where she will be a staff writer. She is a member of Student Council, Key Club, a varsity cheerleader and runs on the varsity track team. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and reading newspapers. She is very excited to be involved with The Centinal and cannot wait to start writing!
